Quality Management is the literal handshake of Modern Group. Quality is integral to our management philosophy and affects the entire organizational structure. The participation of quality control includes all staff, using all procedures to direct, empower, and coordinate all processes. We believe that an effective quality management system is a reflection of sound business management principles.
Quality begins with the correct information. This is a vital process at Modern Group. Our team will always ensure the current data is the right data. Post-production, all manufacturing records are delivered according to the customer instructions.
The project manager is responsible for all communications, scheduling, coordination, execution, and production issues. Project specifications, special instructions, drawings, materials, inspection and testing requirements, logistics, and milestones, are reviewed in the kickoff meeting.
Project planners determine the fabrication release quantity against the schedule and workload. They will examine the complexity of different assemblies, solve technical challenges, assign work teams, and fabricate according to the delivery / erection sequence.
Steel mills are certified with factory production controls (FPC). The chemical composition, physical properties, and general condition of the raw materials are strictly controlled, with suppliers monitored for performance. All material is received with corresponding certificates.
Modern Group is certified for the works we perform and we can also comply with other standards, such as Japan (JIS JASS 6). All requirements are incorporated into our training and production to meet the quality expectations for the standard in use.
Every shop activity has a quality check or hold point. The ITP outlines the program of inspection, type and frequency of testing, and the witnessing required during inspections.
Modern Group maintains a ratio of 1 QC per 25 workers. The inspectors perform Visual Inspection, Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and NACE Paint inspection. Department leaders hold International Welding Engineer and Certified Welding Inspection certificates.
Quality audits, random inspections, and spot checks are implemented to police the Quality Program implementation and to ensure that apart from the prescribed inspection program, normalized quality is maintained.
Transparency is big part of the trust factor and is a means to know the real quality. Modern Group maintains private offices for resident inspectors and visiting third part inspectors. The visitors have access to quality staff, project managers, and senior management. They can see everything that we can see and have firsthand knowledge of our operations.
To ensure the protection of the customer’s project, bank guarantees are issued for deposits, performance, and agreed Warranty Period under the Terms and Conditions of the contract.
