This Is A Health & Safety Update
COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)
MODERN HEAVY INDUSTRIES
On January 26, 2020 a notification was issued by the Suzhou, Jiangsu, China
government notifying residents and businesses that the Chinese New Year holiday would be extended from February 1, 2020, until at least February 10, 2020.
In addition to this extension, most highways and transport hubs, restaurants, theaters, markets, malls and other places where people would normally gather were either closed, or
faced very strict control in an effort to reduce the potential for the spread of the COVID-19. As a result, when Modern Heavy Industries re-opened on February 10, 2020, many office
staff and shop workers were not able to immediately return to work due to travel restrictions both in China, and abroad.
As of Monday, February 24, 2020, 100% of the office staff and
management have returned to work, and approximately 65% of the shop workers are on hand. We expect to have all staff back to work in the next 30 to 45 days. Product deliveries have been
affected during this period, so please inquire if you are a customer of Modern Heavy Industries.
At this time, we encourage all inspectors and project representatives to return and resume
work normally. There are preventive actions recommended to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, including: Wash your hands often with soap and water, use an alcohol-based hand
sanitizer, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Stay home when you are sick. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue,
then throw the tissue in the trash. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces. Please wear a N95 or N99-type particle filtration mask while on the company premises until further notice.
